Volunteer
Volunteer!
If you have ever entered endurance event, for that matter any sporting event, you would agree that having supporters there prior to, during and after the event is something that is immeasurable as to its importance and effect on you as the participant.
As important as the athletes are to a team, they could not accomplish their goals without the support of others. These others come in the form of steams of volunteers that can make the difference. The JT Foundation takes pride in providing its athletes with the best support possible, but it takes people to accomplish this. These people are the Volunteers.
You can volunteer in a number of ways;
Tent Area: At the tent we are looking for people to help sell Team and Autism merchandise, talk to people about our Foundation and keep our runners organized and ready to go.
Cheer/Support Teams: We are looking for any (loud mouth) family, friends and Team Members that will not be participating in an event but are willing to give some time to get out on the course to cheer and support the athletes that are participating.
Being a volunteer is an awesome and fun way to get involved and to be a part of an event. For the runners, when you are out there and you hear your name and hear people cheering for you……well you’ll see…..It will give you chills.
So if you are interested or know someone who would like to help out please contact us at jhughes@thejtfoundation.com
